WHO IS AMONG YOU WHO... FEARS THE LORD...YET WALKS IN DARKNESS? ISAIAH 50 : 10 AMP

GOD PROMISES US PEACE, BUT NOT SMOOTH SAILING OR IMMUNITY FROM LIFE'S PROBLEMS.

The Bible says you can fear the Lord...yet...walk in darkness and...trouble. Check your Bible: (a) Job lived an exemplary life yet he lost everything. Troubled and perplexed, he cried, "God has blocked my way (and)... plunged my path into darkness" (Job 19 : 8 NLT)  (b) Jeremiah after preaching to a rebellious people who beat and imprisoned him, said, "Oh that...my eyes were a fountain... I would weep day and night for... my people" (Jeremiah 9 : 1 NIV)   (c) Paul suffered so much he "despaired even of life" (2 Corinthians 1 : 8)

Faith is like film; it's developed in the dark. Dark days make us lean on God in ways we normally wouldn't. The truth is, if our faith was never tested we wouldn't be motivated to pursue God and draw closer to Him. Edward Mote wrote: "When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace. When all around my soul gives way, then He's all my hope and stay. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand." It's easy to praise God when your health is good and your bills are paid. It's when light suddenly turns to darkness that we discover what our faith is made of and where our trust truly lies.

IF YOU DON'T WHO WILL?

What a father says to his children in the privacy of his home isn't heard by the world, but it's clearly heard by posterity. A mega church pastor writes:  "Years ago I was invited to the White House to meet the president and a few key religious leaders. It was the first such invitation this country boy ever recieved. However, when I called home I discovered my son's basketball game was rescheduled for that weekend, and I'd already missed one. The question became one of simple priority, "What's the most important?" The government has been running without me for years, so I called the White House and said I wouldn't be coming (They recovered from the news beautifully!) I went to the game and had the fun of seeing my son shoot the winning basket."

Paul said, "Be... careful... how you live...making the most of every opportunity" (Eph 5 verse 15-16 NIV). How you spend your time reveals your real values and priorities. Dad are you spending quality time with your children? Karl Marx said to conquer a nation you just have to block a transfer of values, morals and beliefs between generations. Solomon said, "The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him" ( Proverbs 20 verse 7 NKJV). Dad, before you know it, they'll be gone but what legacy will they take with them? your kids are like mirrors, they reflect what they see and it's hard for them to see God as their Heavenly Father unless He's clearly visible in their earthly one. So, take them by the hand...lead them in the way of the Master (Ephesians 6 verse 4 TM). Tell the next generation... of... His power and the wonders He has done. "If you don't who will?"

WONDERFUL GOD

Someone once said something that before then I never gave it a thought. The person said that we humans are limited in what we can do for ourselves, he went further to state that when we are having difficulties sleeping, we can choose to use some kind of sleeping pill; but, on the other hand, there is no waking up pill. It is just by His mercies we wake up everyday - He chooses to wake us up morning by morning.
WHAT A WONDERFUL GOD!!!

Have you ever given it a thought, why He choose to bless you, to keep you safe from harm, to take you from one point of destination to another under His watchful eyes, to protect you and yours and to make your life worth living?
IT IS BECAUSE HE IS A WONDERFUL GOD!!!

Has it ever occured to you how fleeting this life really is?

WAITING ON GOD 2

Though it seems it will never come,
though it lingers,
though things around makes it look bleak;
I will wait on Him

However broken hearted I am,
However disappointed,
However sad;
I will wait on Him

I will wait on him
who alone has the power,
who alone has the strenght,
who alone has the ability;

To make it happen,
To deliver,
To bless,
To heal,
To elevate,

I WILL SURELY WAIT ON HIM
